i agree with this and want to see more. perhaps a single random planet each play with an enemy spaceship or 2 to break up the "circle the planet" routine.also,when i blow up planets, i like to see debris and/or an explosion or 2 :)
Yeah, I couldn't think of much to combat this playstyle. The jam hasn't ended though, so I might add some new mechanics in for this reason. (That is allowed, right?)

could be cool to have laser beams that shoot out from the planet and prevent you from circling it for a second or two
too simple, i just circle the planet and shoot it.other than that pretty good

Those are some really good ideas! I'll definitely take those suggestions into consideration.
